Stainless steel sinks are by far the most commonly purchased sinks in the United States, and for good reason! They’re easy to clean, low-maintenance and go well with most kitchen décor choices. Keep your stainless steel sink looking brand-spanking-new by giving it a good shine every once in a while.
Before you worry about your sink’s reflection, make sure it’s clean! To do this, mix warm water and a few drops of dish soap in a bowl.
Dip a clean sponge into the soapy water, then wipe down your stainless steel. Rinse out the sponge frequently to make sure you’re cleaning instead of just moving the dirt around!
Thoroughly rinse and dry your sink after you’ve cleaned it.
Mix three parts water with one part baking soda. Stir the mixture with a spoon until it forms a paste. Then rub the paste into the stainless steel using the soft bristled brush.
Thoroughly rinse the paste away with clean water and then completely dry the sink. It should be pretty shiny at this point.
To launch your sink into the all-star circle of shine, finish up with some olive oil! Pour some onto a clean, soft cloth and buff it into the sink with firm pressure. It should shine like a diamond!
