Ever walk into someone's house and realize their decorating style is a depiction of their personality? For example, if someone is very dramatic, chances are their home is going to reflect it. If someone is more calm and even-keeled, you’ll likely notice it in their living space, too. There’s no getting around it: How we keep our homes can say a lot more about our personality than we think.
Too much clutter and hoarding can be indicative of someone who is unorganized or depressed. On the flip side, excessive cleaning and organization can be a sign of anxiety or control issues.
Someone who has little to no personal photos or trinkets around their house could be showing that they have a lack of personal or meaningful relationships or – in extreme cases – an inability to connect with the deeper, more meaningful parts of their lives.
Studies have shown that people who have a relatively clean home with just a little bit of "clutter" are the happiest! So what can you do to change?
