Ghouls, ghosts and gobs of candy. Halloween may be a month away, but it’s not too soon to embrace your inner goth and include some dark charm in your home. This glitter skull is a perfect way to add some creepiness without any store-bought cheesiness. So grab your glitter and let your freaky flag fly!

We love this glitter skull step-by-step by Changing My Destiny. All you need for this project is: Paper mache skull (check your local craft store), bottle of glitter (the color of your choice), Mod Podge, foam brush, newspaper, spray paint (optional) and finishing spray (optional).
1. If you want your skull to be black, red or even purple, spray the entire skull with spray paint. Note: Painting your skull the same color as your glitter is ideal, because then it won’t be as obvious if you don’t get full coverage with the glitter.
2. Once the spray paint has fully dried, use your foam brush to apply your Mod Podge to the skull in small sections. While your Modge Podge is still wet, liberally sprinkle on your glitter. Hold your skull over the newspaper as you sprinkle so that the loose glitter gets caught on the paper instead of all over your furniture. This will also allow you to collect the spare glitter and pour it back in the bottle.
3. Let your glitter-covered skull dry completely. Note: You might want to seal your skull with finishing spray to keep the glitter in place.
