Why is a fitted sheet so darn difficult to fold? It somehow fit into the package when it was new, but the best you can do these days is clump it together, stuff it in your linen drawer and hope nobody notices. It doesn’t look pretty, and it sure doesn’t feel organized. Enough is enough! It’s time to solve the fitted sheet mystery once and for all.
Here’s the big secret: It helps if you fold the sheet when it’s still warm from the dryer. That way, it never has a chance to wrinkle.
1. Take your fitted sheet out of the dryer and immediately slip your right hand into the right corner. Then fold the top left corner of the sheet over your right hand.
2. Keep your right hand in the sheet, and gather up the bottom left corner with your left hand. Fold it over your right hand, too.
3. There’s one corner left. Guess what you’re going to do with it? That’s right – fold it over your right hand.
4. Once the corners are all neatly tucked together, take your right hand out of the mess. Fold the sheet into a square, and then continue folding it in half until your fitted sheet is nice and small.
