If you’ve ever fantasized about buying an old, ramshackle house and fixing it up yourself in a whirlwind of DIY projects, you’ll love The Ugly Duckling House.
Sarah Fogle started her blog in 2010, a few months after she purchased a neglected Atlanta house that was built in 1982. Since then, she’s been on a long, colorful home improvement and maintenance journey complete with caulked finger nails, mysterious light switches and cat warfare.
This isn’t a blog for the design and décor obsessed! This is for homeowners who aren’t afraid to break out the electric saw and make a mess of things (or at least aren’t afraid to read about someone else making a mess of things). Sarah has fearlessly tackled pretty much every home repair project you can imagine, and she’s learned a ton of valuable lessons along the way. We’re glad she decided to share her trials with the world – learn from her mistakes and your home can be as great as hers is now!
