Wire hangers are notorious for ruining sweaters (those tiny shoulder pad things are the worst). So spare your wool friends from destruction by putting your wire hangers to work outside the closet:
Display Magazines. There are some magazines that you just flip through once and forget about, but then there are others that you want to keep forever! If you love the idea of saving memorable or noteworthy issues, but don’t want them cluttering your coffee table, hang them on the wall like A Merry Mishap Blog.
Organize Tape. Washi tape is all the rage these days, but it may be making your craft area impossible to organize. Even if craft tape isn’t your thing, regular tape containers can be a pain, too (especially if you own the duct, electrical, double-sided and scotch varieties). Keep it all organized with this tip from Lili Scratchy – all it takes is a little bending and some ingenuity!
Make Wreaths. We love hearts all year long, not just on Valentine’s Day! Add this happy shape to your house in the form of a yarn and wire wreath. First, shape the hanger into a heart (or circle if you prefer) and then untwist the top of the hanger. Thread yarn balls around the whole thing then re-twist the top. Done! Hold Scarves. Do you own more than one scarf? Great – use them as wall art! These colorful, textured pieces of fabric are beautiful when combined on a wire hanger. Just tie the scarves around the hanger like Boxwood Clippings and voila – instant art!
